***IMPORTANT UPDATE: Xavier's Spain Tour Team has Merged with the Italy Tour Team.***
We have been notified by AFA that Xavier's age group will now be competing in the Montesilvano Cup in Italy, instead of the the Costa Brava Cup in Spain. This decision was made taking into account player numbers across age groups and to ensure players get the most valuable international tour experience. The cost of both tours will be the same and the dates only slightly different.
Last year 16 nations participated in the Montesilvano Cup, so Xavier is really excited to be able to compete at such a great event. The perk of this change for supporters is that matches will be live-streamed for folks back home!
The International Tours Manager writes:
"In my opinion moving to Montesilvano Cup will provide a much better experience. We have an ongoing relationship with the Italian Federation and their information on the event is abundant. They already have club and regional teams from several countries signed on for the tournament."

Thank you for taking the time to offer your support to help get Xavier to Spain!
Xavier’s determination, dedication and outright skill over the last few years has seen his selection to represent Australia in Futsal, in the Costa Brava Cup in Blanes, Spain in 2019.
Xavier, a very humble and local Tasmanian boy and his family simply are not in a position to send Xavier to this once in a lifetime opportunity, therefore our football club (Southern Football Club) are helping to assist with a fundraiser to seek enough funds to cover Xavier for the approximately 2 week trip to and to be able to see his mum, Nikki to attend with him, the figure needed to get these two to Spain is in excess of $10,000 and we hope to achieve at least $10,000 via fundraising.
The opportunities this event will create for Xavier and his developing career are incredible and unbelievable, with your help, we can make this once in a lifetime opportunity a dream come true.
Any support or help via donation will be greatly appreciated. Updates and progress and any event fundraisers will be posted as often as possible.
