Willows Vet Bills
Donation protected
Willow is a sweet, brave 5-year-old Chiweenie who is deeply loved by so many. Despite her small size, she has the heart of a warrior. In her short life, she’s already faced more challenges than most dogs ever will. Just last year, Willow became paralyzed from a slipped disc. Thanks to spinal surgery and her incredible determination, she beat the odds and learned to walk again.
Now, she’s fighting for her life once more.
On June 14th, I came home to find Willow lethargic & unwell. I rushed her to the emergency vet, where we learned she had internal bleeding & dangerously poor blood clotting. Her case was described as critical, & at one point, euthanasia was suggested because the cause was unknown. But I couldn’t give up on her.
Further testing revealed that Willow likely encountered a toxin or contracted a tick-borne disease. She’s been hospitalized since that day, receiving plasma transfusions, intensive care, and round-the-clock monitoring. And she’s fighting so hard.
Thanks to the care she’s received, Willow is improving every day. Her blood clotting time has greatly improved, her liver values are looking better, and she’s bright, alert, and eating. The doctors are hopeful—because Willow is showing them just how strong she is.
She’s not done fighting, and neither am I.
Willow may need just a few more days of care before she can finally come home where she belongs. But as you can imagine, this life-saving treatment has created significant medical expenses.
If you’re able to donate anything at all toward Willow’s vet bills, it would mean the world to me. Every dollar helps. If you can’t donate, sharing this message is also a huge help.
Unfortunately, Willow passed away early morning on 6/20. She passed peacefully in my arms at home. Her body couldn’t fight any longer.
Willow will never leave my heart. I love her so much. Until we meet again.
Thank you so much for your kindness and support.
