Lets get Tyreece to Melbourne

Hey all,
For those who don't know me, my name is Nathan Marks and I coach Div 1 under 17.5 boys, at SMOSH West Lakes Junior Football Club. For all those who know this group of kids, know, that there is 'something' about them. This 'Something' makes them, not only great to be around, but theyre all outstanding people, and will go to just about any length to help one another, and their community.
I had the pleasure of meeting one particular lad, for the first time this year. Tyreece Bevan came out to his first training back in Feb/March of 2025. Tyreece's Vision is impaired, which obviously makes things pretty difficult to play footy, to say the least. During his first session he seemed like his confidence was down, and looked like he may not be able to continue to play the game he loves. This, is certainly not the case! Tyreece hasn't missed a session since we first met, he's now confident enough to do 95% of the drills we do, and does them on his own, with very minimal assistance.
Our ultimate goal is to get him on the park, in a lions guernsey, at some stage this year, when he's ready of course. However, we would really like to help him, in the meantime, with some funding to get him over to Victoria so he can compete in the Victorian Blind Football League.
If we are able to help him, even a little, then its worth it. Tyreece deserves to be able to play footy like the rest of us. He's shown myself and the rest of the team that you can do something, even if everything in the world is trying to discourage and tell you otherwise. Lets do what we do best at SMOSH and help one of our own, It's the least we can do to for this young man :)
