A few weeks ago, I was given the opportunity to ride with a Soldiers on Singletrack group. I came away inspired and motivated. Soldiers on Singletrack stands for Community, Purpose and Challenge.
Memorial Day is a day to honor and remember those who have served in the military. If you’re looking to give back to a veteran this weekend read Brian Callahan’s story below:
Brian is a Marine, Husband, and loving Father of two incredible children. He served two tours in Iraq and one in Afghanistan during the most violent years of the war - on the front lines. Considering the absolute hell he's been through - Brian remains positive, stays joking and is someone we should all look up to every day.
Although he's been out of the Marines for 10 years, his battles still continue. In the time since he's been honorably discharged - his father in-law passed away, he had a stillborn at 8.5 months, his mom & step dad were both diagnosed with cancer, his PTSD has sky-rocketed, and the VA failed to report a tumor on his brain which causes him to have debilitating seizures (Must Read Boston Herald article here ).
Mountain biking has countless mental, physical and emotional health benefits. It also provides community, purpose, and a sense of challenge. Something Brian really has missed since he’s been discharged. My goal is to raise enough money to get Brian a bike, so we can help fill this void. Any little bit you can contribute will go a long way. Please help this soldier/friend/father out.

I know how much joy Mountain Biking brings to my life, let's do the same for Brian.
Thank you,
Dewey
