Let’s Get Tatsy Moving
Donation protected
This fundraiser is on behalf of Tatsy Guild to help fund her upcoming dental surgery and to help her on her path towards recovery from a debilitating struggle with Lyme disease. Tatsy has been confronted with decreased mobility as a result of Lyme and associated autoimmune dysfunction for the past 20 years. In the process of trying literally every medical approach to come back into full health, Tatsy discovered the harms of mercury amalgam dental fillings. These fillings contain 50% elemental mercury which produces vapor over time and enters the bloodstream, causing tremors, weakness, muscle problems, and more. Luckily Tatsy is working with Dr. Rothchild, DDS, PC, who is a holistic dentist practiced in mercury-free fillings and metal-free crowns. His practice understands the connection between oral health and the rest of your body. By replacing these fillings, Tatsy will eliminate a final barrier holding her back from full health.
Let’s get Tatsy walking again!

Here is a note from Rhonda, the person executing this fundraiser (and owner of Easy Bee Farm):
Tatsy Guild is a longtime friend of mine and worker share member of Easy Bee Farm’s CSA program. Tatsy is family. I met her 20 years ago while living in a small 18-member unintentional community on Powerhouse Lane in Moab, Utah. At that time, she was struggling with her new limitations and an undiagnosed disease that was ravaging her body!
Tatsy is originally from the east coast. She moved to Colorado at the age of 19 after falling in love with the western wilderness and the Rocky Mountains. She was a ski instructor, a mountain biker, a homesteader, a backcountry guide, a social worker, and an entrepreneur. She led a very physically active young adulthood.
Fast forward to 2021, Tatsy lives on the farm and rents our employee housing. She dries all the herbs for the farm in exchange for her share of nutrient-dense fresh produce to sustain herself. She is a pro from back in her days of homesteading in the hills of Montana. She knows the different herbs drying properties and how to create the perfect quality freshness. She brings light to our energy work on the farm.
Tatsy does not ask for help! She told me once that she NEEDS to be doing as much for herself as possible so she can maintain her abilities. Then we discussed the gifts of moving slower and really observing your surroundings. She was grateful for this part of her process! Sometimes I catch Tatsy crawling around in the gardens to collect things for herself and her homemade tinctures and flower essences. Once I came across her in the compost, she had fallen but was in the process of standing, I asked what happened and she said “oh nothing” and went about her business. Watching her try to stand back up is grueling, but she does it every time.
Tatsy is amazing, she takes care of herself!
We all know the challenges with our healthcare system. While it would be amazing if this could be covered by health insurance, let’s all spread the burden of this large cost and help Tatsy get this procedure done collectively.

Here is a note from Tatsy, the recipient of these funds:
I have been struggling with an auto-immune disorder from Lyme Disease for the past 20 years, and this has primarily affected the nerves and muscles in my legs. I can barely walk.
So, at the beginning of my journey with this medical situation, twenty years ago, I got my exposed mercury amalgam fillings replaced. Because the cost of getting the exposed fillings replaced was overwhelming, I put out of my mind that I had ten mercury amalgam fillings under crowns. I suppose that the price tag for getting them replaced ($17K) motivated me to ‘forget’. However, just before the pandemic, my doctor sent me to a dentist (a Dr. Rothchild, in Durango, CO).
In his initial examination, he pointed out that these ten mercury amalgam fillings were in my mouth. When things settled down as much as it seemed they were going to (for a while, at least), pandemic-wise, I scraped together the money for the replacement of the four on the left side. Now the six on the right-side remain.
I need your financial help with this. Yes, the $12K price tag is humongous. Realize, however, that I have done EVERYTHING else that I could think of, in these last 20(!) years. So, PLEASE, help me out. (As my finances have been drained by all the above EVERYTHING.) I HATE asking for money, HOWEVER, the only way that the replacement of these filings is going to happen, is if I ask; and I REALLY WANT THIS TO HAPPEN!!!!!! So, please, help get me moving.
PS-If you contributed to my previous crowdfunding campaign, 8 years ago, realize that that was hugely appreciated. I certainly don’t expect any further contribution; however, if you feel so inclined, know that it will be appreciated. (Obviously, I very much wish that my medical situation were resolved; but it’s not.)

Now for some details. Tatsy needs six mercury amalgam fillings replaced, and each costs $1500, totaling $9000. We are setting the GoFundMe goal at $12000 to help cover the associated dental fees (pain meds, anesthesia, follow up appointments), as well as travel to Durango and a buffer fund to help during the recovery period. All funds will go directly to Tatsy.
Thank you so much for your support! We all hope to see Tatsy up and moving again very soon.
