Let’s Get Sights for Ellie

This is Ellie Cusack and she is 11. After many years of failing sight and only ever having sight in one eye she has recently been diagnosed with multiple menigioma tumours in her brain. One of these tumours is on her optic nerve, on the only eye with sight remaining. This tumour is inoperable and will make her go blind. At the moment we do not know how long Ellie has left with sight.

In another cruel twist to Ellie’s story, Ellie and her family have been told that these tumours are likely to be cancerous despite her tumour on the optic nerve being diagnosed as benign. Ellie’s condition is so rare we do not know what life holds for her going forward. The only certainty we have right now is that Ellie is going to go blind.

So we want the opportunity to take Ellie to see as many sights in the world and experience as many things as she possibly can while she can.
