Today I met a single mom named Sierra who was working at Family Dollar.
I asked her to help me wrap a gift, and even while she was working, she took the time to stop and help me because she saw I needed it. Little did she know the gift was actually for her and there was $1,000 dollars inside.
She immediately broke down in tears.
Sierra shared with me that she makes $10 an hour and is trying her best just to survive. Recently she and her child were homeless, living in her mom’s car. Her child was actually standing right behind her at work when she told me this.
To make things even harder, she was recently scammed out of the last $3,000 she had while trying to buy a car so she could rebuild her life in a new city.
Even with everything she’s going through, she was still kind to a stranger.
A mom trying this hard shouldn’t have to carry this alone. Let’s rally around Sierra and help her get a safe place to live and a reliable car so she and her child can finally have stability.
Do your thing, internet. ❤️
