Let's get Sarah back on 2 wheels!

Thank you all so much for all of your wonderful support for Sarah! She is completely overwhelmed! Thanks to all of your amazing generosity, both online and offline, we have smashed her target; funding the replacement bike and also donating hundreds to Maggie’s!! We are all so grateful for your kindness and support. Let’s get this triathlon done!

At the end of 2023 my sister was diagnosed with a rare cancer, Pseudomyxoma peritonei. In her true style, she fought an amazing battle, having numerous surgeries and 8 organs removed as well as chemotherapy threatment. We are all so proud of her and in complete awe of her strength and determination.

Not allowing cancer to get the better of her, she's due to complete the ROC triathlon in May raising money for Maggie's - a charity that supported her and provides free expert care and support across the UK.

On Wednesday 26th February 2025, whilst she was working for the NHS at UHW in Cardiff, someone stole her bike from outside the hospital. It wasn't just any bike though, it meant more than that. It was her rehab bike that was helping her to get her strength and fitness back as well as being the bike she was due to compete on. It was also something that she was really proud of and a real symbol of how far she had come.

Despite our best efforts, we have not been able to recover the bike and she needs a replacement. Staying true to her modest form, she was very reluctant for us to set up this page but having had so many people ask how they can help and show her their support we have finally managed to convince her!

If anyone would like to donate towards the cost of the replacement bike and show Sarah their support it would be hugely appreciated. Any additional funds that we manage to raise will be donated to Maggie's.
