Let’s get Noah to Washington DC!

Hello! My name is Angelica and I’m fundraising for my 8th Grade son, Noah. Noah has a heart of gold. He’s a straight A student who is more responsible than me! He enjoys going to the theater, playing piano, trumpet, drawing and animating.

Noah has an opportunity to go with his 8th grade class on a 10 Day trip to visit the Washington DC and the surrounding areas go a historical tour. For many of us, this class trip was a right of passage. Due to COVID, Noah and his fellow 8th graders missed out on experiencing their Outdoor Science Camp in 6th grade. These kids have been through so much during this pandemic. Which is why I’m so happy a group of parents got together to organize this lifetime trip. Finally giving these kids something normal back!

This trip is no longer sponsored by the school. Fundraising opportunities are limited especially because we weren’t certain it would possible until 2 months ago in November, 2021! So here we are… Noah leaves on March 17th and returns on March 26th. Some of the trip highlights are listed below. This truly is an amazing experience. Any donation would be greatly appreciated!

• Exploring the heart of Capitol Hill, home to the U.S. Capitol Building, the Supreme Court and the Library of Congress.
• Paying respect at Arlington National Cemetery, the final resting place for hundreds of thousands of brave men and women who sacrificed their lives in the name of our country.
• Visiting Mount Vernon, George and Martha Washington’s beautiful home and plantation.
• Visiting the Smithsonian Institution on the National Mall, with visits to the Natural History Museum, the American History Museum, and the National Museum of African American History
and Culture.
• Experience at the US Holocaust Memorial Museum, a living memorial to the Holocaust.
• D.C.’s must-see monuments: Lincoln Memorial, World War II Memorial, Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, and Iwo Jima Memorial to name a few.
• Learn more about Thomas Jefferson at his house at Monticello.
• Experience colonial life first-hand at Colonial Williamsburg.
• Discovering the Jamestown Settlement and understanding the events at Yorktown.
• Ending the tour with a visit to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island.

Thank you!
