Let’s get Natalie and Alex a wheelchair van!

Alex Ariana, the little girl that steals your heart. Her big beautiful eyes will make anyone melt and her smile and laugh are contagious. Needless to say anywhere she goes she lights up the room. Alex is nothing short of amazing. If you know Alex then you know Natalie. Two of a kind and two of the best kinds of people. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. They are both so loving. You can’t get far without a hug from the both of them, whether you just met or have known them for years. Every time your in there presence you feel the love.

Natalie noticed things were different when milestones were taking much longer to achieve. Alex wasn’t crawling or babbling the way we thought she would. She wasn’t walking or talking the way we knew she could. Natalie never gave up being Alex’s best advocate. Finally it was determined with all the testing and fighting to find answers, Alex will never be “normal”. She was diagnosed with a Mitochondrial disease. This means that every cell in Alex’s little body is affected by her condition. Alex is not “normal” and will never be “normal” but she will be UNIQUE.

Since the diagnosis Natalie has not and will not stop advocating for our Alex. Natalie continues to push all Alex’s limits. For that she has made huge strides. Speaking to her is so incredibly inspiring. She was told she might never speak. Yet here she is fully comprehensive and speaking. Yes sometimes it is gibberish but we couldn’t be prouder. She still does not walk , but boy does she move. One minute she is right by your side and the next she is scooting across the floor. We are constantly in awe of her progress.

Alex is a fighter and she will never give up. Not now not ever. She is growing and learning and if you have met Alex you know exactly the light that she brings to this world. As she is growing she is in need of more and more care and help to continue her progression. Thankfully now she has a wheelchair. Unfortunately, she may always need a wheelchair. As Alex gets older and grows more it is harder to transport her in and out of the small car that Natalie does have. I am asking on behalf of Natalie and Alex that out of the kindness of your heart and the love that you have for them both for a donation. Any donation will be helpful. They need a wheelchair van. Doctors appointments and school days could be so much easier. As we know, these vans are costly but if we all pitch in and come together we can push any limit. Now, Let’s get Alex and Natalie a ride to make there lives easier. Let’s get them a wheelchair van!
