We have had an amazing addition to our family named Nala. They are Leilani’s best friend and they are both headed to KU!

Nala has been through more than any person should, losing their Mom at a young age, and then their Grandma, who had adopted them, during Covid. While they were mid way through Senior year, when other Seniors were busy applying for scholarships and planning for their futures, Nala’s guardian abandoned them. This meant that their focus shifted to survival.

In spite of the countless obstacles they’ve faced, Nala graduated with honors and was accepted into The University of Kansas to study Political Science. Due to even more unfortunate circumstances beyond their control, they are $6500 short for their first semester. This is only tuition and doesn’t count the books and living expenses they’ll need to cover.

Lawrence and I have exhausted every avenue that we could find. I am now asking for your generosity to help this incredibly worthy young person get the start that they deserve! Every donation, big or small, will be accepted with an abundance of gratitude, as will every share!

People are always asking how they can help create a better future. This is a tangible way to do just that! Nala is ready and able to do amazing things in this world!
