Let's Get Mabel Walking!

My wonderful husband is running Manchester Half Marathon BLINDFOLDED..

As most of you are aware, our beautiful little girl was diagnosed with ONH/SOD when she was only a few months old. Her condition affects only 1 in 10,000 births. Upon initial diagnosis we were told Mabel only had light perception, and with ONH being a spectrum, her future was a mere waiting game. Well let me tell you, she is an angel. What ever life has thrown her way, she has tackled with a smile on her face, and fire in her belly. However, our fight isn't over. Mabel has been let down COUNTLESS times by our NHS. We have begged for physio since 6 months old, being told monthly that physio wasnt needed, and then being told she needs it due to developmental delay by the same Drs. Mabel was put in group therapy and then removed for "not doing what she should be" and most recently (after only being seen twice in 9 months, despite hundreds of phone calls) last week were told "I don't know what to do with her, it's above my pay grade".

Mabel started private physiotherapy 2 weeks ago, and she's come on more in those 2 weeks than she has over the past 6 months, however with her sessions being £75 per hour, and her physio wanting to do intense sessions every month (costing £400 on to of the £320) financially, we need your help. We shouldn't have to pay £720 a month in order to get our little girl the help she needs to walk, but we will do what ever it takes to get her what she needs.

Along with our wonderful brother in law as a guide, max will be stepping into the world of a visually impared/Blind person, and will be running 13.1 miles blind folded on the 21st May.
