My name is Kelly, and I am hoping to raise some funds for my best friend of over 20 years, Elizabeth. Liz is a 41-year-old mum to a beautiful 6 year old boy, she has recently been diagnosed with later stage cervical cancer. This fundraiser has been created to support Liz and her young son as she faces treatment and seeks further medical opinions..

Liz is more than my best friend — she is family. Watching her face such a devastating diagnosis after months of unanswered medical concerns has been heartbreaking. Being a solo mum to her young son, and keeping her supported, hopeful, and focused on her health during this time would mean everything. No one should have to fight this battle alone, and I want Liz to know she has a community standing beside her.

All funds raised will help cover, urgent medical expenses, medical and trial treatment-related expenses, travel and accommodation for appointments in other cities, and basic day-to-day needs.

As a single mum with a mortgage, she is at real risk of losing her home while fighting for her life and caring for her young son.

This support will allow Liz to focus on her health and spending precious time with her boy, without the added stress of financial pressure..
