Let's get Kris back on her feet as she heals!

Hi! My name is Wendy and I am raising money for my dear friend Kris. She shattered her femur on February 25th, and had surgery to piece it back together. After a week in the hospital, she has been bedridden, unable to stand on her leg at all. The surgeon's instructions are at least three months non-weight bearing.

For the past two months, loving friends and family have been going and staying with her to assist with meals, everyday chores, and medical appointments. I took my turn for a week in Utah with her, and I witnessed firsthand how difficult this is for her living alone. She has limited mobility with a walker and crutches but can't stand for a long time or carry anything. Kris has been able to do a limited amount of work as she heals, but cannot go to her office job and has missed several living history events she normally relies on financially.

Now, the medical bills are beginning to roll in and her out of pocket will exceed $12,000. My goal with this fundraiser is to help Kris cover the medical bills so all she needs to worry about is paying her regular bills. The added stress of knowing this long-term debt is coming is not conducive to her healing, and I have faith that her friends will be supportive of helping her!
