Let’s get Kitchi back on the trails
Hi Y’all!
If you’re on this page you likely know Kitchi and Lynne. Lynne rescued Kit in the Fall of 2019 and they have been inseparable ever since.
Kit loves to walk, hike, go to the beach, sniff every blade of grass and play with other dogs - especially older ones :) He’s curious, playful, and smart. He loves solving puzzles, and relocating shoes - but never chewing them. And his favourite thing ever is obviously belly scratches ☺️
Kitchi tore his cruciate ligament in his right leg in December of 2020. This ligament controls the movement of a dogs back legs and is incredibly painful for a dog to live with. Pet insurance did not cover the bill as his “breed” was excluded from coverage, so Lynne paid out of her savings. Kitchi had his first surgery on February 11, 2021 and his right leg has heal perfectly! This week Lynne received the news that his left cruciate has also torn. Kitchi is only a year and a half and has so much life left in him so, Lynne wants to go ahead with the second surgery, which will be just under $6000 again.
Lynne works full time as a youth worker, and she’s also in school getting her Bachelor of Social Work. She’s a strong advocate for youth and one of the sweetest, realest, and kindest people I know ♥️
We’re asking for your help with covering the cost of his second surgery, so Kitchi can get back out on the trails and live his best life again.
Any amount helps - when we work together, anything is possible ♥️
