Let's get Kit cooking!

Amidst the chaos of the pandemic, authors have kept our sense of connectivity and community alive, their stories and tales a literary lifeboat keeping hope afloat, whether sheltering in place or working to care for those in need.

For Katherine "Kit" Kerr, author of the DeVerry series, the pandemic has been hard; Howard, her husband of forty seven years, died in January 2020 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's. Without his presence, pension and limited income, she continues to take care of herself, her home and help those around her, saying little about her concerns, like the oven, which broke months ago, and needs to be replaced. She is making do with a microwave and small appliances, and working on stories that clamor for her time and attention.

It's taken over a year to convince her to let us help, to let the SF&F community return some of the kindness she's shown over the years.

How can you help?
