Let’s get Kaylee to Mayo Clinic
Donation protected
Hi everyone! Thank you so much for taking the time to even click on this link. Kaylee and Vinny are close friends of ours and we have started the mission to get Kaylee healthy. They deserve this God given opportunity! Let’s gather around them. Let operation get Kaylee healthy begin! There is also a Venmo information if you would prefer to give that way.
Here is her story: Kaylee is a wife to Vincent Chodkowski, mother of two adorable toddler boys, and a talented makeup artist. Kaylee has had a lifetime of confusing illnesses that have made her quite sick, with chronic pain starting at age 7. Kaylee was diagnosed with juvenile arthritis at age 7, and then diagnosed with myofascial pain syndrome and fibromyalgia at age 18. Since those diagnoses, Kaylee has been fighting many illnesses that are a byproduct of fibromyalgia- IBS, TMJ, endometriosis, insomnia, chronic pain, chronic fatigue, polymyalgia rheumatica, and osteoarthritis - just to name a few - all by age 28. She has been accepted into Mayo Clinic for her diagnosis of Fibromyalgia and her current state of health. She is incredibly resilient and strong, but these past few months have been worrisome and Kaylee has spent many days in bed and/or unable to walk. As most of you know, Kaylee’s passion is being a mother and makeup artist, so we need her healthy to chase her dreams! She needs extra care that only Mayo Clinic can give her right now. Kaylee and her family have been waiting for Kaylee to be accepted into Mayo Clinic since 2017, and Mayo is finally able to see her and have booked her stay for September of this year. As many people know, Mayo Clinic won’t see you unless there is a good reason for you to be seen and the doctors agree to take you as a patient. It’s unfortunate that Kaylee’s condition has come to this, but we believe this could bring hope of a better quality of life. It isn’t easy for The Chodkowski’s to ask for help and I know a lot of people are also struggling to get by. They are seeking this out of necessity as their only means to get Kaylee to these appointments. Kaylee’s medical insurance will not cover even one penny of the Mayo Clinic costs due to it being in another state. Kaylee’s most recent health decline has required Vincent to utilize sick days and PTO just to be with her and the boys while she’s unwell. This has made any additional income incredibly difficult to have the time for. A week at Mayo is expensive. They will need airfare, hotel, food and all medical expenses covered - this includes testing, evaluations, medications, and overall treatment, as insurance will not cover any of it. We will send personalized updates and a thank you card to anyone who includes an address in their donation (email address is fine if you would like to be contacted for a mailing address and not have it be public). Thank you for your time in reading about Kaylee and thank you to anyone who is
able to help!
