My brother Dustin, his brilliant wife Kacy, and their sweet almost-three-year-old daughter Ada just received life-changing news: Kacy has been awarded a prestigious Marie Curie Doctoral Fellowship at Glasgow Caledonian University in Scotland!
Starting in October, she’ll be working toward a PhD in a cutting-edge program focused on Data Science, AI, and Social Innovation for the Common Good. She'll be based at Glasgow Caledonian University in Scotland for three incredible years, with opportunities to work across Germany, Belgium, Italy, and Slovenia, too!
This opportunity is a dream come true for their family. It's a chance for them to grow, explore the world, and for Kacy to contribute to meaningful work on a global scale.
The fellowship itself comes with strong funding once they're settled, but getting there (moving a household internationally with a toddler, navigating visas, flights, housing deposits, and all the early expenses) comes with a steep price tag—and the program starts soon.
That’s where this GoFundMe comes in.
Anyone who has met Kacy and Dustin knows how passionate they are about learning about the world, and they deserve this incredible chance to go see some more of it for themselves.
Every donation helps them get one step closer to their new chapter, and I know that even small donations of $10, $20, or $50 from their friends, family, and community can make a huge difference.
Thank you so much for sending love, resources, and encouragement their way. They are so ready for this leap across the pond. Let’s help them land on solid ground.
