Help Josh’s Surgery Fund

I’m fundraising for my amazing partner, Josh, a loving and kind person who has been suffering severe foot pain for years. Although he has been managing his pain reasonably well over the the years, these last few months this pain has increased where during his flare-ups, he can be immobilised or rely on crutches just to get through the day, making even simple tasks—walking, standing, playing with our children, extremely painful. His job is physically demanding and requires driving and walking which results in the pain and swelling often becoming exacerbated, with strong painkillers and nsaids offering little relief. Most nights, the only thing he can do is soak his feet in ice baths, to reduce the pain and swelling.

The turning point for me was seeing him break down, completely overwhelmed and emotionally drained. That’s when I knew we couldn’t wait any longer—saving slowly just wasn’t going to be enough.

Josh needs Cryosurgery, a procedure that freezes the affected nerves and lesions in his feet which will stop the pain and swelling. This surgery is an extremely successful, non invasive procedure with a fast recovery. We have had a consultation with a highly recommended Surgeon at The Barn Clinic in Sheffield and he is ready to book Josh in as soon as possible.

Unfortunately, this surgery isn’t available on the NHS so the only route is through personal funding.

Which is why We Need Your Help.

The cost of the surgery is £4,900, which we simply can’t afford on our own. The reality is that we need help to make this happen as his condition keeps deteriorating which if left untreated could cause permanent damage amongst other issues.
