Let's get John back in the Driver Seat!

The family of John Page has started this to request assistance with medical bills for him.

John Page is a great son, father, brother, uncle and friend to many in the community and abroad. He has helped boundless people and families to reach their goals, some may have seemed silly or impossible to others, but he has always helped others pursue their dreams. His dedication to family, friends, and those he barely even knew, continue to shine throughout North Carolina and further.

His strong belief and faith in God have always seen him through every hurdle, and this is just another battle he is fighting not only for himself but for all those he loves and supports.

In November of 2021, the day after Thanksgiving, John started feeling ill and decided to go to the Emergency Room - obviously, he knew something was wrong because the man is as healthy as a horse and NEVER goes to the doctor!

Upon arrival, the doctors felt sure he had meningitis, but he soon fell unresponsive and had to be put on a ventilator. Later, the family decided, along with his medical team, that it would be more beneficial if a tracheostomy was done to lower his risk of infection.

Doctors were baffled at what could have caused his condition. So they ran every test that may have had even one of the symptoms John presented with. All returned negative except a covid test that showed he had antibodies from having covid in August 2021. So the conclusion based mainly on the process of elimination is that he had a very rare post covid reaction causing encephalitis.

John is fighting HARD to overcome the complications that have so aggressively invaded his body. He is currently in a rehabilitation facility but has had a MAJOR setback.

Not having insurance, the family has to pay upfront for his stay.

Many have asked how they can help or donate, and we sat down as a family and decided to open this avenue to help with medical expenses and rehab!
