Let's get Henry mobile again!
Donation protected
Hi my name is Chris Raseta and I'm looking to raise important funds for our friend Henry.
Henry's life was turned upside down over a year ago when he was brutally assaulted by a stranger outside his home, leaving him with a severely broken pelvis. The perpetrator has since been convicted of assault causing bodily harm. Henry endured weeks in the hospital, followed by rehabilitation in a seniors' home, where he underwent physiotherapy. Henry was able to watch his beloved leafs on a brand new IPad thanks to a wonderful woman who donated this and who wishes to remain anonymous. Due to his second-floor apartment, he was unable to return home for months. Fortunately, North Simcoe Victim Services generously provided a chair lift, enabling Henry to return home before Christmas. Unfortunately Henry has only left his apartment a handful of times due to the fact that he is very unsteady on his feet with just the walker as support. However, despite qualifying for an electric wheelchair, Henry faces a significant obstacle: a $3,759 payment required for the wheelchair, which costs $12,036 in total, with the government covering 75%. Additionally, Henry has incurred out-of-pocket expenses for medication and two walkers. This assault has not only taken a physical toll but also emotional, as Henry, a social person, has suffered from isolation. Let's rally together to get Henry mobile again and regain his independence with the purchase of this chair!
