Let's get Hailey Pumping

Hi! My name is Hailey and in December of 2022 I was diagnosed as a Type 1 diabetic This basically means my pancreas quit on me and no longer creates insulin. Unlike Type 2 diabetes, this can not be controlled by diet. Since my diagnoses I've had to give myself insulin injections and it's exhausting! I have to take these injections any time I want to eat or drink anything with carbs, which is basically everything. I also have to take injections when my blood sugar gets too high AND there's nightly injections to keep my levels in a normal range while I sleep. An insulin pump would change so much of this by giving me an opportunity to not have to self inject multiple times everyday. Unfortunately insurance is not covering all of the cost so we still have to pay 6K for it. A pump will stay connected to a sensor that monitors my blood sugar and distribute insulin as needed. Which I'm really looking forward to because of the constant stares I get from strangers when I have do an injection out in public.
