On December 30, Glenda was at the top of a 6 foot ladder putting away Christmas decorations when she fell, causing a left knee injury, a severe injury to her right ankle as well as a bone fracture to her right leg.  

On January 6, Glenda had surgery that went well, other than her being in severe pain.  

She is scheduled to go home the week of January 9 with full services from Home Health, a hospital bed and orders to have no weight on her leg for 2-4 months.

Glenda, who is a major contributor to the family income, will be unable to work through-out her recovery period.

Mike and Glenda will be facing phenomenal obstacles including major medical and rehabilitation bills.

They will need to prepare their home to meet Glenda’s needs, such as building a ramp for exit and entry into the home.
