Help us get George Bem's home completed

Our names are Shoni and Evan Brazie. We're a small general contracting business in Central Oregon. EJB Construction LLC CCB# 206462. We were called out to estimate some work on a unfinished home in Prineville, Oregon. Come to find out, 81 year old George Bem, the homeowner (who's a Vietnam Vet), was scammed out of $30,000 by Central Peaks Construction in Prineville 5 years ago. George got some of his money back from the contractor's bond. (CCB) Unfortunately, it wasn't enough money to get the entire home completed.

When we met him, he's had no running water for the last 5 years. The house was sheetrocked and painted inside with a pellet stove for heat. Wiring was complete. It's a 800 SF one bedroom, one bathroom. There was no flooring, no interior doors, and no cabinets. Home Depot gave him $10,000 in credit, so he had flooring, cabinets, sinks, and a toilet delivered. Our team came in and set all cabinets, installed flooring, and shower walls at no charge to George. The plumber came and completed the plumbing. He now has a shower, toilet,and sink in the bathroom. Kitchen sink and cabinets have been installed in the home. He also received a washer and dryer, refrigerator, and stove that we installed today.

George receives monthly social security and a military pension. The unfortunate thing for him is he doesn't have the funds to complete the interior or exterior. The home is clad in building wrap. We're hoping to get funds to help him complete his home and pay off his Home Depot account. He just had shoulder surgery and needs knee surgery next. He has no family whatsoever.
