I am hoping you will join me in my endeavour to raise enough money to get permission from Cornwall Council to have a memorial/bench somewhere in Porthleven to remember and commemorate Fred.

As you know Fred was born and bred in Porthleven, he was a very proud Cornish man (reminding me regularly, I had yet to get my Cornish passport !) You will all remember he was a cheerful, familiar face in the village, often out and about walking with one of the dogs and more recently his beloved Tipsy (who it has to be said lived a life of luxury!).

Fred was a kind and generous man always available to help others, giving his time and effort tirelessly, without any reward or fanfare required.

Please know that any donation, however small, will be gratefully received and will be our way to make sure a man who gave so much to his friends and neighbours will always be remembered in the village he loved so well.
