- He’s a teammate of mine and he has become the only Costa Rican to qualify for the UCI Cyclocross World Cup. He has overcome so much in his life and serves as an inspiration and role model to his fellow Costa Ricans as well as anyone he meets. He works as a medical interpreter and like many athletes from less represented countries, does not have the resources, sponsorships and endorsements to cover the cost to compete in the Cyclocross World Cup taking place in Europe this December.
