Let’s get Dad to Graduation ‍

Hi, my name is Shaun! I have set up this GoFundMe for my amazing friend, Darren…

And his daughter, Maddie.

Darren lives here in England, but has an amazing daughter from a previous relationship who lives in America with her Mum.

Maddie only gets to visit in the 6 weeks school holidays due to this being the most appropriate time for all. And let’s be honest, America to England & back isn’t easy to navigate all the time!

Maddie graduates this June, and she is so excited! Unfortunately though, Darren won’t be able to attend due to financial constraints.

Hence this GoFundMe!

I found out from Darren that for flights, food, activities and of course, a nice suit, it would be around £2000. The one positive is he can have free accommodation over there with his daughter and her family.

Let’s get him over there to Maddie’s graduation. Also, now she’s going to be working properly, she won’t be able to come over for the 6 weeks, so he isn’t even sure what he’s going to do for the future.

I really want to help them make some amazing memories. Every parent should get to see their child graduate.

A little more about Darren, he’s a support worker who has just been made redundant a week ago! He is the most selfless person I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. I can’t mention the name of the group, but I met him through a men’s mental health group that I facilitate for, and he helps me just as much as I help him.
