Let's get Christine Engstrom to Disney!

I am creating this page on behalf of the family and friends of Christine Engstrom. Christine is 52 years old and a lifelong resident of Summit, NJ. Due to the fact that Christine has special needs, she is in the constant and wonderful care of her sister, my mom's best friend, and my godmother Elaine. Christine’s favorite things are arts and crafts, drawing pictures (if you have ever met her you probably have a personalized picture drawn by her), barbies, princesses and anything Disney themed. If you are someone who has had the pleasure of being in her room you would also know this. Anyone who knows her knows that she is the sweetest and most positive person. Not only does she always see the glass half full, but her glass is undeniably overflowing. She truly loves life despite the challenges that she faces. Christine has always seen her family as a gift, but what she doesn’t know is that she is and always has been a gift to them, and has humbled them beyond belief. When Christine is around, you will be sure to have a smile on your face, being reminded that life should be lived to the fullest.

Christine has recently been diagnosed with Stage lV Pancreatic cancer and has been notified by doctors that unfortunately, her timeline is limited and is unable to be estimated, but unfortunately is not long. Christine has always had one wish that her sister and family have been wanting to give her- a trip to Disney. When asking the doctors if this would be possible, they said “the sooner the better.” With all of this said, we are determined to make this happen for her and are setting up this page in hopes of raising enough to send her to Disney for her lifelong dream, and to help with medical bills, and the expenses that are bound to come with a terminal illness.
