Let's Get Beth a Peloton

Donation protected

A message from Beth's friend Bridgette about this surprise campaign (please keep the operation a secret from Beth for now):

As many of you know, Beth and her family suffered an unimaginable tragedy in December when her niece and nephew were killed in an awful accident in Florida. Anyone who has ever met Beth knows Addie and Baylor were the center of her world. This loss devastated Beth. She has been working really hard on healing and finding her way in a world without her special kiddos. It has not been easy. A lot of her old emotional coping mechanisms like coloring remind her of time spent with Addie, as that was one of their favorite things to do together. Because of that connection she hasn't been able to find comfort in that any longer and she has struggled to find things to help.

Beth was able to take a couple months off to spend with her family after the accident. She is back to work in Cleveland now and being able to concentrate on projects at work seems to be helping ground her a bit. But honestly, as a friend and coworker of hers here in Cleveland, I can tell you the biggest turnaround I have seen in her has come since she has started going hard on the Peloton app. The routine and endorphins have really made a dent in her mental, physical, and emotional health.

Recently Erin Coker, a mutual friend of Beth and myself, brought up the idea of surprising Beth with an actual Peloton bike. Beth has been working out on a very basic stationary bike which has been fine but I think Erin is on to something. If Beth's friends and family could all rally together to raise enough money to get her the real deal I think the love she would feel could give her an added boost along this tough road she is on.

We would really like to keep this a secret from Beth until we are able to get the Peloton bike in her hands. I have the spare keys to her apartment so we could potentially have it delivered while she is out and absolutely blow her mind. It would be great if people can donate and/or slyly share with others about this campaign. Just be careful not to post anywhere Beth could see it or let it slip to her what we are up to. I'd also love for people to write a card or note to include with the Peloton. You can send me a message and I'll give you my address. I can collect them all and deliver them with the bike.

Every dollar counts!

Erin and Bridgette
