Let’s get baby Evie home to Margaret & Lance

Donation protected
On November 5, Lance Glenn and Margaret (Maggie) Norway welcomed baby Evangeline into the world. Unfortunately, baby Evie arrived with
complications. A late pregnancy ultrasound revealed a large mass on Evie's neck, and her shocked parents were sent to Poughkeepsie, and then to NY Presbyterian, where Evie was delivered via c-section and where she has lived in the NICU ever since.

Evie was born with lymphatic masses on her neck and chest. She was intubated for the first five weeks of her life, and now she is learning
the basics, like what it’s like to be hungry and how to swallow.  Margaret and Lance are finally able to hold their sweet baby girl, but have not yet been able to do so together. Because of Covid, only one
person is allowed in the NICU at any given time.

Thankfully, we know the masses are not cancerous. Unfortunately, we do know that the masses are serious. The larger mass on Evie’s neck has
responded well to the first round of treatment, but those on her chest did not. While the doctors are confident Evie will be home soon (fingers
crossed, sometime after the new year), she will need more treatments and a lifetime of monitoring with a team of physicians.

Lance and Maggie have been traveling almost daily from Philmont to NYC and will continue to do so until they can bring Evie home.  Unfortunately, Covid-19 has only compounded the already complicated situation. They are unable to stay in housing provided by organizations like the Ronald MacDonald House, they are unable to be with their baby together, as a family, and they cannot be with their family, as Evie’s immune system is just beginning to form.

The back and forth travel, food and occasional hotel rooms have been expensive. While Maggie and Lance would never ask for help, please help
me help them. Their focus should be on Evie, and not how they will pay for care or anything else moving forward. Please donate what you can,
and keep this sweet family in your thoughts and prayers!! Share with your friends and neighbors, too!
