Hello everyone!
Yet another chapter in the life of the Brazell family is upon us - it’s time to get Asher his helmet! This morning we found out that insurance will cover absolutely NOTHING for his helmet even though it is medically necessary. It is projected that Asher will have to be in the helmet for 23hrs/day for about a year to help correct the shape! We are no longer with said insurance company as of today and have to pay out of pocket for his helmet!
Normally the helmet cost os $5,000 but they have a self pay plan that helps cut costs. The prosthetic clinic that makes his helmet is WONDERFUL and he loves them so much already! They have extended a plan for us that the total cost would be $2,000 for his helmet and no office visit costs! While this helps us TREMENDOUSLY, we are also still paying on his January hospital visit bills and $100/wk for physical therapy.
We saw our friends, family, and so many rally around us during our PICU stay and we know we can’t do this alone! If you feel led, please donate whatever you can to help us cover his helmet!! If you can’t donate financially, prayers also mean the world to us as we serve a POWERFUL God ❤️
