A letter from Max:

Howdy friends, family, and fellow people!

As some of you may know, I am a recent theater graduate from Charleston County School of the Arts, and I am seeking to pursue a career in some form of entertainment arts.

I will be taking a gap year following this summer. Money is tight, college is stupidly expensive, and my mind has not set on a future job. Instead, I wish to spend this time working in different programs and jobs hoping to get my foot in the door, and experience some of my interests firsthand.

This August, I am planning on heading to Chicago for a 2 week
acting/comedy/writing intensive at Second City . I will be flying out August 4th accompanied by my wonderful theatre teacher Alea McKinley! (Her awesome letter of recommendation can be read here )We will be together for the first 2 days so she may introduce me to her acquaintances, and help ease me into the whole shebang. From there I will be staying at Getaway Hostel  which is not far from the Second City Campus.

As I mentioned earlier... money is tight! I received a partial scholarship from Second City, but alas, more is needed for other commodities. So, I am creating this Go Fund Me! I hope you can find some love in the bottom of that beautiful heart you have, and consider contributing to a freckled boy’s dreams. Anything helps!

My expenses will be:
Remaining Camp Tuition: $250
Chicago Transport Pass: $75
Food/ Incidental Allowance, $50 x 14 Days=$700
Hostel: $390
Flight Home: $200
Emergencies: $200
Go Fund Me Transaction Fee: $65

Hoping to reach a goal of $1880. But don’t feel obligated to donate, I wont be mad. :)
