Lets Fix Farah Shufflebottom

Thank you for visiting Mrs Farah Shufflebottoms GoFundMe.
Many of you will know Farah's story so far. I was contacted late last year to rescue a little disabled pug from Dubai who was no longer wanted, had nowhere to go and was in danger of being put to sleep or worse......dumped in the desert. With the help of my amazing followers from around the world and some very special people in Dubai and the UK, we managed to raise her vet and transportation costs, get the paperwork sorted and fly her here to Bubblebecca Pugs to start a new life of love and cuddles.

In the last 5 weeks she has settled in to life with the grumble as best she can, but the next step must be for her to gain back the ability to stand, and hopefully walk a few steps, as we know that less than a year ago she was a completely fit and healthy little puggy. At some point she suffered an injury to her spinal chord causing shock and bruising, most probably the result of being dropped or kicked.
She has had various tests which show she has feeling in her back legs, and she still manages to curl and wag her tail when in my arms. Yesterday we paid for in depth X-rays of her spine which thankfully showed that nothing more sinister is going on, but because she can't move about very well she battles with urine infections and I have to help her pee and poop. My vet feels that with an extensive course of specialised physiotherapy alongside hydrotherapy on the treadmill, we can get her to stand alone and at least take a few steps so that she can get herself a drink and manage to go to the toilet without help.
She is an amazing, loving little pug with bags of personality and a true fighting spirit, to see her shuffle around trying to play with the grumble and making the best of life after all the setbacks life has dealt her is truly inspiring. I have no doubt that Farah will put everything she has into her journey of recovery but she needs our help. The course of treatment is long and expensive and her vet bills so far have not been insubstantial.
Please donate if you can and be a part of the story of Mrs Farah Shufflebottom, together we can give the story the happy ending it deserves.
