Lets Fight For Nay
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Nicole, Naydeen’s best friend and I am starting this fundraiser for our girl Nay!
Our dear Naydeen was recently diagnosed with stage 4 Diffuse Large B Cell (Non-Germinal B center phenotype) Lymphoma. Obviously this was quite the shock to all and has turned her life upside down. However, if you know Naydeen, you know she is still laughing and smiling through these tough times. Naydeen has is an extraordinary human being who always puts her friends and family first. She has the most contagious laugh and when she walks in a room, everyone lights up by her radiant smile and energy.
On November 12, 2022, Naydeen was taken to the ER via ambulance from her job due to chronic back and hip pain and was discharged shortly after with medication to treat the pain. We now fast forward 4 months later… Naydeen has been in the ER 4 times since November. After seeing multiple specialists and undergoing 5 MRIs, 6 CT scans, 5 X-Rays, 4 ultrasounds AND 3 different bone biopsies she was subsequently diagnosed with Stage 4 Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma on February 17, 2023.
The non germinal center B-Cell phenotype she has is less receptive to the standard chemotherapy that she will be receiving called R-CHOP. Given this diagnosis, she will be evaluated midway through her treatment cycle and if she is not responding well enough to the standard chemotherapy she will be given a clinical trial medication called Glofitamad. Researchers believe that combining this study drug with the standard chemotherapy drugs in R-CHOP that it will make treatment more effective for people with DLBCL who are high-risk. Glofitamab works by strengthening the immune system’s ability to fight cancer cells, and adding this drug to the R-CHOP regimen in people who are high-risk may prevent lymphoma from growing back in the future.
Luckily for our girl , she was able to undergo Fertility Preservation before this aggressive treatment which will provide her the gift of becoming a mother in the future.
Naydeen began her 1st chemo treatment on February 27, 2023. Her treatments will last for approximately 5-6 months during which time she will then repeat her PET scan and pray that she is CANCER FREE .
Naydeen is a fighter, I have no doubt she will beat this horrific disease and come out on top.
Naydeen is the rock of her family and has always been there to offer help and words of encouragement to any of us. Unfortunately, she needs our help now. So many of you have already shown so much strength for her in this extremely hard time and your help and support has been greatly appreciated. A donation is another way to help her and her family get through this tough time. Although we are lucky to have great insurance through the NYPD, health insurance does not cover everything throughout this process. The funds donated will go directly to Naydeen and her family for the fertility preservation process, Dr visit co pays, hospital stay co pays, radiology co pays, supplies for during chemotherapy, medications, special diet,
wigs for hair loss and other things to make our girl as comfortable as possible during this difficult process. Any amount that you choose to give will be greatly appreciated by Naydeen & her family. Thank you all so much for any donations and all your prayers. May God bless you all abundantly! We love you Nay ❤️
