Lets expand the homestead & rescue farm animals
Donation protected
Hi Everyone!! As you know, Brandon and I started a homesteading journey 2 years ago! We just relocated to Monte Vista on 38 acres of land to expand our business. The journey started when I launched my children's camp last year called "Homestead Days." It was a 2 day a week, 6-hour drop-off event for children between the ages of 6-12 to come to our little farm and help with animal care, feedings, handling the animals, craft projects, team-building games, theme weeks and planting courses, but more importantly it was designed to get kids back outdoors and off technology. This program was a huge success and sold out which was amazing and opened our eyes to the need of how many families are seeking this!
We were eager to expand the camp and offer experiences for families to participate in. Not only do we want kids outside, but we want families to be together, experiencing something fun and unique all while keeping it affordable. We have plans to offer classes for families, farm tours, craft projects and animal interactions but more importantly, we have plans to expand our Homestead Day camp so kids can have opportunities to be outside in the summer months rather than at home. It allows children to build friendships and master basic skills, such as soap making, baking bread and other food items, making jam and butter, growing plants and vegetables and many more things!
We have seen a growing need for livestock to be rescued and find new homes, and just like the photo above, we would love to rescue a cow, the donkeys and hopefully, with help be an animal sanctuary for animals in need. We want to give these animals a safe, loving home and allow families that may never have the chance to be around farm animals to experience them and love them!
This is our way of life, and we have a huge passion to serve others, with all business that comes in, we at the end of the month give 10% back to our communities. We have on our website what we are doing, and any and all donations goes 100% into the current project we are working on! The more we can offer and brings families on the farm the more we can serve and give back to our communities.
With that being said, we need help! Everything cost money and in homesteading, there is not a lot of money! We want to impact families and more importantly future generations! We want to bring joy and peace to many people and give back to our communities! We are asking for any type of donation to help our cause and homestead grow, and for you to be a part of something bigger and fulfilling! Donations go directly into purchasing fencing material, screws, feed for the animals, and also into rescuing the donkeys and cows that need a new home! The next project is getting a greenhouse here, so we can grow food for our local community and to teach children about growing and giving them that skill!
Please consider helping us grow and giving back to the kids in this community! If you donate and leave your name we would love to list you on our sponsors page on our business website! Check out www.schofieldhomestead.com to see what we are doing and our future goals and plans!
