Let's Do This: Smash the Virus T-Shirt Project

Let me introduce myself. I am Peter Zimroth.  I was the corporation counsel appointed by  Mayor Ed Koch. I am currently the independent monitor, appointed by the Federal Court in NYC to oversee implementation of court ordered reforms in the stop and frisk litigation. I am also the founder and director of the Center on Civil Justice at the NYU Law School.

 I am sharing with you pictures of a T-Shirt and cap which I designed. Why would I design a T-shirt and cap? It is personal. Eight months ago I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer- a death sentence. Like Covid, life threatening. We are all in this together. Sober thought. I didn’t want the shirt to be dark or preachy. I want people to see a message of hope. So, I designed the shirt with bright colors; fonts that look forward not back.

My doctors think now I have a fighting chance. See the pictures below of Mayor DeBlasio and Terry Monahan, NYC’s covid czar in charge of the City’s efforts to insure that all eligible people in the City are vaccinated.

Will YOU please wear my shirt?

Profits will be donated to Memorial Sloan Kettering whose doctors have kept me alive thus far.  I am finished with my chemotherapy and about to embark on a course of radiation therapy.  My wonderful doctors tell me that the prognosis is good.  Here's hoping!

You will not be getting the Tee-shirt with Hey New York.  You will be getting the Tee-shirt and caps that say America.

WHAT I NEED FROM YOU if you donate:
CONTACT ME THROUGH GOFUNDME WITH THE INFO BELOW:

1. PICK - Size of the shirt,  S to XL. XL is the biggest we have for now. (Please note that you'll get the "America" design, not the "Hey New York" design.)
2. Full name and address for where you want the shirts sent.
3. The number of shirts and/or caps you'd like.

-You will receive a cap and a T-shirt for a minimum donation of $30. 
-You will receive a cap for a minimum donation of $20.
-You will receive a T-shirt for a minimum donation of $25.

If you'd like more than one item, please match your donation to reflect that. For instance:

For 2 t-shirts and caps, you'll need to donate a minimum of $60  (2 x $30)

If you'd like to order multiples of 10:

-For 10 sets, please donate a minimum of $270.
-For 100 sets, please donate a minimum of $2500.

We'll start shipping the items on May 1st.
