Back in February of this year, our dear friend Charlie went in for a check up on a steady cough he had been fighting. Doctors ended up running all sorts of tests and x-rays. When he came back for results on February 17th, doctors told him they saw a spot in his right lung to which they were going to do a biopsy.
They finally told him he had a small tumor and that they were going to run  a PETSCAN, only to confirm  that he also had cancer in his lymph nodes that sit right next to the affected lung. 
He is currently waiting to hear from doctors on next steps, either surgery on his lung or radiation with chemo therapy to follow.
Whichever route they take,  Charlie is personally ready to leave all of it behind him focusing on a positive way to recovery. 

However, these past two months have been very difficult for Charlie, he has endured all sorts of difficult tests having to break frequently from work. For those of you that have had the pleasure to know him, waking up at 2:00 am to go to work is part of his daily routine, he has worked very hard to keep his business going.  He is taking it one day at a time working as much as he can now since he knows he will soon be out trying to recover.
As we all know, Charlie will require extensive treatments, different kinds of specialists from surgeons to specialized doctors that will handle his procedures and follow up treatments. 

 For those of you that have shared time with Charlie, I am sure you have heard lots of his family stories,  from his grandchildren playing around the house to the family get-togethers for his birthday. He is and has been a very involved father and grandfather.  Charlie is a very kind person, always willing to go out of his way to help and lend a hand.  Now he needs that helping hand.

He will need all of your positive thoughts and prayers for speedy recovery but he will also need all the help we can give as his medical bills have already started climbing. 
I am asking for help to pay for his medical bills and probable numerous procedures that insurance will not cover. His family will not be able to afford covering all his expenses.  When he begins his long recovery, the last thing we want for him to worry about is the stress of excessive amounts of medical and household bills.
