Let's Cut It OUT! Hairstylist in Need. Stage 4 Cancer

Let me tell you about an amazing woman of God and a very gifted hairstylist. I met PA through our church in Little Rock in 1992. I joined her cadre of “besties” then and I’ve grown ever closer to her and her daughters.

Pollyanna, a strong, vibrant, and beautiful soul, received the devastating news that she had metastatic breast cancer two years ago. Her fabulous oncology team has found protocols and medicines for her that allowed her to continue to work as she could in her own salon, in her home. Let me tell you, if you’ve ever seen Steel Magnolias you’d recognize her salon. Dolly could’ve patterned Truvy on Pollyanna!

Every customer is welcomed as a favorite friend. She ministers the love of Jesus as she washes, dries, and styles. She brought so many people to salvation in her friendly, loving ways. She is so full of the joy of the Lord that people can’t help being at peace in her presence. No one ever left that salon a stranger or without hope.

She has seen me through my own cancer diagnosis and personal traumas just as she has for so many others. Now she needs help herself. She had a slight stroke a few weeks ago after one of her treatments and lost the strength in her right hand. She can no longer work to support herself. She has no income to help sustain her as her medical bills, medication costs and personal bills continue to grow.

The one who always had an open hand to give of what she had for others now needs help to keep herself going strong and to ease her worries about how she’ll pay her bills without being able to work. She is so deserving of our help.

I humbly ask you to join me and others in giving PA support to continue her fight. She has shown good results so far with her treatment, and she needs to continue it. Funds donated to her—no matter how big or small —will help Pollyanna continue the fight for survival. Your donation will go to support her medical, emotional and physical needs. Every donation will help ease her financial worries and help put her energies into getting stronger and fighting her battle. It will give her stability to focus on just beating this horrible disease.
