We received news that our loving mother Alice Sheridan has terminal lung and brain cancer.  We thought she beat breast cancer 10 years ago. She underwent a double mastectomy that was unsuccessful as the cancer has spread. This is an awful big blow to our family. Alice is a mother of two and a grandmother of three.  Mom has the best way of making every holiday so special. All she cared about was making everyone happy. And she did just that. We have great memories of packing up and making the trip to Grass Valley to visit. Really going to miss that. Alice was famous for her prize winning Red Pepper Jam. She loved making it for friends and family.
My dad was diagnosed with a rare disease 8 years ago that UC Davis is still trying to figure out. This has left them surviving on just one disability income. My dad isn't capable of the care necessary.  We need 24 hour care for my mom. I took time off work but the bills don't stop. My brother lives in Oklahoma so travel back and forth is difficult for him. 
We are looking at Crystal Ridge Care Center for End-of-Life-Care.  Average stay is about a month at a rate of $654.37 per day. We also need to cover her funeral service and other arrangements.
