Let's come together to support Dana and Fletcher.

Fletcher Phillips has been with Hitachi for 13 years working in the Charlotte warehouse. Anyone who has worked at the NorthPark office for any amount of time has most certainly had the pleasure of meeting Fletcher. He is a very hard worker and one of the nicest humans you will ever know. In June 2022, Fletcher’s partner Dana found a sore on the right side of her tongue and was misdiagnosed with a bacterial infection. After her tongue was biopsied, she was diagnosed with cancer, Squamous Cell Carcinoma. Dana received several rounds of chemotherapy and radiation that failed to eliminate the cancer. Dana has undergone surgery to remove her jaw and most of her tongue. The doctors used bone, muscle, and tissue from Dana’s leg to reconstruct her jaw. Dana is still recovering and may have to undergo more treatment in the future. Fletcher is Dana’s main caregiver as she tries to recuperate and heal. He takes her to appointments and doctors’ visits regularly.

As you can imagine this has created a huge financial burden on Fletcher and his family. Dana had been working up until July 2023 when she was let go and put on disability. Please, I would like to invite our entire Hitachi family to donate, if you can, to help alleviate the financial burden on this family as they continue to fight this horrible disease. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.
