Let's come together to help this family!!

I am reaching out to get support for a family that is very special to us. Shawn Bacon has been our Logistics Manager/Driver for Texas Real Santa for the last four years. He has another full time job and still made time to ensure that our Santa rentals were delivered and returned in pristine condition. We could not have done it without him.

 

Shawn is an amazing husband and father of three. Unfortunately, he was in a motorcycle accident from a hit and run driver last Saturday night and life-flighted to Memorial Hermann Trauma Center downtown in critical condition. Shawn lost his left leg on impact, severely crushed/dislocated his left hand, and spinal injury and possible brain injury due to head trauma. He has undergone multiple surgeries for his hand which now has screws and bolts keeping the bones in place.

 

He will continue to need intense rehabilitation and physical therapy. He is still in ICU but alert. He has a lot of family support for emotional trauma; however, the family needs help for medical expenses. He is a great provider for his family and will not be able to return to work for at least six months when he is eligible for a prosthesis. So he has a very long road of healing ahead of him.  His wallet was also lost at the scene and someone started using his cards.  His account has been frozen. 

 

We ask for healing prayer and to find the person who hit him. Currently there is an active investigation. The family will need help with finances for medical bills, medical equipment, wheelchair, special bed and prosthesis. Please find it in your heart to help. If you cannot donate, please pray!!
