Hello. I am doing this to reach to everyone who loves Steve, near and far, to help his family during this tragic time. Anything and everything will help, as this is a long road ahead. Thank you guys so much.

Steve is currently in critical condition. He tore his quad muscle in January and had surgery February 17th to fix it. Yesterday he had a massive stroke and pulmonary embolism. They found blood clots in his lung, liver, kidney, spleen, leg, and brain. Ambulance took him to St. Elizabeth's where his heart stopped 3 times. Then when they stabilized him they air lifted him to SLU. They did a surgery to remove the lung blood clot (which was successful) and found he has 2 holes in his heart as well. He has brain swelling on the left side of his brain from the stroke. He's was a candidate to have brain surgery to remove a part of skull to relieve the pressure in his brain. The left side of his brain is basically dead tisue from the stroke. Its a high possibility he will be paralyzed on his right side and won't be able to speak.He's in surgery for the third time. They found 2 more clots and are attempting to remove them. They took him off blood thinner bc of the brain surgery. They evaluate at 12/1am to see if the can start him back on it. If they didn't do this surgery they possibly would have had to amputate his arm and leg. I'm so grateful they are trying to remove them. They are letting me spend the night with him.
