im buzzing my head! for no real reason! i was originally going to give my hair to locks for love but its not long enough : / and then i was going to do a big head shaving event for charity last weekend, but alas, coronavirus and social distancing.
so, instead, im gonna be buzzing my head on instagram and raising money for two separate charities. for those looking to tune in: ill be going live on ig wednesday march 25 at 5 central. (in all honesty i will probably be a few minutes late.)
about the donations:
gofundme allows people to only raise money for one charity a time. with the looming covid crisis, im prioritizing funding to chicago's food banks. all the money raised from this campaign will go toward the greater chicago food depository. (more on that charity below.)
that being said, im still privately donating to st. baldricks, the head shaving organizer, which funds research to find cures for childhood cancers. you can too! (see the link above for more details)
greater chicago food depository: they run a bunch of different programs and feed hundreds of thousands of people every year. obviously covid affects a ton of stuff in a million different ways, but one of them is that people are more food insecure than ever. so lets help!
