Let's buy Carlens his pencils
Donation protected
Carlens and his brother Evans need 250 pounds for pencils, books, uniforms - all the things they need for a school year in Haiti - and they live with their gran, and my friend Patrick. He took care of them after his brother died, and took good care of me too in the exciting time when we were heading round their local village planting trees for the Saddhanah Forest project. No one's going to Sadhannah now, and Patrick doesn't know what to do. If we can raise more than 250, I suggest we buy, in this order (1) five footballs for the school, (2) money so gran can visit the doctor to find out what's hurting her knee, or (3) whatever Patrick wants. I know he's a good guy, I trust him to spend wisely, and I think it would be a wonderful thing to help him out. It's very hard to raise money in Haiti (which, some say, spends 20% of its budget fighting Climate Change, while contributing .03% of global carbon emissions). We can't solve all that now, but we can get Carlens his pencils. Do you fancy getting involved?
