Let's Buy a Senator

There is good news coming out of Washington DC and there is bad news. The good news is that the Dems control Congress. The bad news is that control is as weak as possible and hinges on "moderate" Senators agreeing with important causes like medicare, pandemic relief checks, the environment, etc. 

But rather than fret over the mountains of cash our politicians take and sell us out for, we've decided to just out spend them. We don't need to buy all of Congress, just one or two Senators! We have decided to start with West Virginia Dem Joe Manchin. Perhaps next week we will move on to another!

Look, obviously this is a parody fundraiser, but is it that far from reality? The truth is, these people really ARE for sale. Citzen's United and similar policies have destroyed any semblance of fairness in our system. Both parties are flush with cash from banks, oil companies, lobbying firms, etc. Our goal here is to raise awareness through our comedy and donate the money to food banks in Appalachia. Or heck, maybe someone can get us a meeting with a down on their luck politician and we can just buy a couple of laws! That is kind of a joke and kind of not.
