Clover Montessori School Playgrounds

Hi, my name is Jana and I am raising money to build two playgrounds at Clover Montessori School, opening in West St. Paul, MN in September 2022!

I am opening Clover Montessori School because I want to offer the kind of education that helps children become the best versions of themselves. In my ten years of experience in early childhood education, I have had opportunities to observe the impact of several different approaches to early education. Of all of those approaches, I place my faith in the Montessori method, scientifically developed and proven over decades of practical research by Dr. Maria Montessori.

In a Montessori environment, each child is seen and respected for who they are today and who they can become tomorrow. "The child is both a hope and a promise for mankind," as Dr. Montessori famously said. My contribution to our shared future is Clover Montessori School, where children are safe, loved, and guided through the most crucial phase of their lifelong educations.

I have dedicated myself wholly to early childhood education for the past ten years. My professional Montessori career began at Duhovka, a bilingual Montessori school in Prague, Czech Republic. Since then, I have taught and served in leadership and mentorship roles in schools in England, North Dakota, and Minnesota. In each culture, I have observed children’s ability to adapt, absorb, and learn.

My own education began in a Montessori casa in Houston, Texas. I graduated from the International Baccalaureate program at Prague British School, Czech Republic.

I earned my Association Montessori Internationale diploma in 2018 at the Montessori Center of Minnesota in Saint Paul, where I was trained by world-renowned Montessorians Molly O’Shaughnessy and Liza Davis. I was awarded my bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Studies at Metropolitan State University, where I graduated cum laude, and I hold a credential in Education Studies from Bath Spa University in Bath, England.

We need to fund the two age-appropriate, licensure-compliant playgrounds. That portion of the project is currently estimated to cost $55,000. We aim to raise $30,000 by GoFundMe and hope you can help us reach our goal.
