We are Bukandula Animal Sanctuary, a registered animal rescue in Mityana, Uganda, dedicated to saving and protecting animals. Since 2020, we have rescued thousands of animals from the streets, including over 40 dogs currently in our care, as well as pigs and other animals in need.

Too many animals suffer from abuse, neglect, and abandonment. We have seen many die simply because there weren’t enough resources to save them. With a fully equipped shelter, we could rescue and rehabilitate thousands more every year—but we can’t do this alone.
