Let’s build a computer-science lab in Zimbabwe!

Hey! My name is Sean and I’m a student at Deakin University. I last visited Zimbabwe was when I was in year 9 and I’ve just graduated since but I can never shake the memories of when I visited Paradise school in Kwekwe, Zimbabwe.
These amazing kids are so creative and welcoming. Since I last visited, I’ve been following their journey and found out that they came first place in the Robotics for Good competition! This is a regional competition that earned the kids a spot to represent Zimbabwe at the international Robotics for Good event in Geneva, Switzerland in July 2025. However, unfortunately these young champions are unable to compete effectively with their limited resources.
This is where I ask for your support to help build a computer-science lab that won’t only just be used for the Robots for Good competitions but also for future of the school’s education and many years to come.
Your contribution will help towards the following:
Hardware & equipment - $35,000
- Provide 25 modern computers, robotics kits, 3D printers, and high-speed internet. Interactive whiteboards and a projector.
Software & educational resources - $15,000
- Obtain software licenses, educational platforms, and digital resources.
Infrastructure & setup - $10,000
- Build the lab infrastructure, including furniture, electrical work, and security.
All for the 500 students and their future. These are things we take for granted and don’t realise how much of a difference they can make for the education of a child. Together, we can make a true difference to the lives of these children and the many more to come.
