Lets bring these CANADIAN HORSES home

My name is Kimberly, and I founded an adoption program for Standardbred horses here in Ontario, Canada, called New Start Standardbreds. So far in 2022, we’ve rehomed almost 40 Standardbreds into safe riding and retirement homes. One of our efforts is assisting in the identifying of Canadian Standardbred horses in dealer/auction (“kill pens”) across North America. We work with an American program to reach out to previous connections to see if they can help financially or by offering a horse retirement home.

This past week, we have been working diligently with some amazing donors to save the lives of THREE Canadian bred/raced horses who have found themselves on the direct ship to slaughter kill pen list in PA, USA. All three of these geldings have no help from past connections due to their inability to assist at this time. We have shared the stories of these geldings on our social media pages, but today - we are grouping together to fundraise the remaining costs for quarantine and shipping home for these horses.

Their lives matter to us. They gave their heart for each human who handled them, and they asked for nothing except to have feed and water. And even those things they were denied. Please help us to show them that there are people who care. We CANNOT HELP without donations to offset costs. We get zero funding from the race industry and zero funding from any consistent source.
