Let’s Bring Cariza Home

Hello.

My name is Kat and together with my workmates, we are setting up this fundraiser for Cariza, who was a dear colleague of ours here in London. She recently passed away after battling stage 4 breast cancer. Currently, her remains are at Guy’s Hospital London. Repatriation of her remains back to the Philippines is very costly. We are hoping to raise funds to help Cariza get back home so that her mum can finally see her and say good bye. If you can help, any amount will be greatly appreciated by us and by her family.

Cari was first diagnosed of Stage 4 Breast Cancer with bone and lung metastasis in 2022. The only people in the team that knew from then was myself, as her manager, and our lead nurse. No one suspected that she was battling this disease even when she chose to keep working until the 5th of July 2024. She always said that work keeps her mind off her diagnosis and keeps her from feeling low.

The whole team only found out about her condition a month ago, so losing her is still such a shock for most of us. We are trying to do whatever we can to support Cari, who has made a positive impact in our lives in one way or another.
